Unlike a standard contractor, an accredited painter is required to use premium Dulux products, follow proper quality assurance processes and maintain a standard of workmanship that Dulux stands behind. For homeowners and businesses, it means an extra layer of accountability on top of the contractor's own reputation.

VOC stands for volatile organic compound, and these chemicals are released as paint dries and cures. Standard paints can emit VOCs for days or weeks after application, which can irritate the eyes, nose and throat and aggravate conditions like asthma. Low VOC paints are formulated to release significantly fewer of these compounds, resulting in a safer indoor environment during and after painting, which is particularly important in homes with children, elderly residents or people with respiratory conditions.

The timeline depends on the size of the property, the condition of existing surfaces and the scope of work involved. A single room can typically be completed in a day, while a full interior repaint of an average home generally takes three to five days. Exterior repaints can take longer depending on surface preparation requirements and weather conditions. Our team will give you a realistic timeframe as part of your quote so you can plan accordingly.

Surface preparation is the most important part of any painting job and directly affects how long the result will last. It involves cleaning surfaces to remove dirt, grease and mould, sanding back rough or flaking areas, filling cracks and holes, priming bare surfaces and masking areas that are not being painted. Skipping or rushing this step is the most common cause of premature paint failure, which is why our team treats preparation as seriously as the painting itself.

Our five-year written workmanship warranty covers the quality of our paint application and the standard of our finishing work. If any issues arise from the way the work was carried out within that period, such as peeling, bubbling or inconsistent coverage, we will return to assess and remedy the problem at no additional cost. The warranty is provided in writing on completion of every project.
